Weekly Colorado laser racing is with the Denver Sailing Association at Denver’s Cherry Creek state park.  Launch your laser at the marina.  Racing is free.  But to be scored you must join the DSA for about $40.  Wind is a pleasant 5-15 knots.  Wind is shifty and is from almost any direction at Cherry Creek.  Challenging and true lake sailing.

Weekly Utah laser racing is with Sail Park City at the Jordanelle Reservoir.  Sail Park City is a thriving organization hosting a number of regattas including the 2009 Laser Masters' No Coasts and a great junior sailing program.  As many as 30 lasers are on the line.

The Aspen Annual regatta is in July at beautiful Lake Rudi and the Aspen Yacht Club.  Wind can be light to 20 knots.  Wind direction is predictable enough that the starting line is permanent.  The Aspen Yacht Club is on Frying Pan road about 18 miles from Basalt Colorado (RT 82 from Glenwood Springs).  The Aspen Yacht Club is on its own quiet harbor.  The Saturday night party, dinner, and campfire are a great summertime event.  Skippers, crew, and family can camp on the yacht club’s lawn.

2010 brings the Grand Prix No Coasts regatta back to gorgeous Lake Dillon July 31 - Aug 1st for Laser District 23.  This will coincide with the fun and professionally run Dillon Open.  The Laser fleet will enjoy its own race large race area and launch beach near Frisco.  The Laser fleet will also be a part of the Dillon Open dinner party and huge awards ceremony.  The No Coasts will attract top laser sailors from surrounding Districts and areas like the Twin Cities, Kansas City, Texas, and California, and should get 40-50 lasers on the line.  We look forward to surrounding districts making the trip out to Colorado in late July.  The Dillon Yacht Club is at the marina on lake Dillon in Dillon Colorado.

The Colorado Laser Championships at the Grand Lake Yacht Club is our biggest and exclusively laser regatta in late August.  The Grand Lake Yacht Club is an awesome venue at the scenic edge of Rocky Mountain National Park.  Wind is often from the southwest but very shifty, so again true lake sailing.  Racing is on Saturday and Sunday.  Friday is a laser racing clinic with North American and world champions such as Doug Peckover and Jim Young.  Racers and families can camp on the very nice lawn at the yacht club.  Grand Lake is on US 34, 12 miles east of US 40 in Grand Lake Colorado.
